Fabulous windmill in a great location. We had such a relaxing time chilling on the top floor looking at the views and watching red kites! The windmill is beautifully renovated and decorated and everything was done to a high standard. The place was spotless and everything from checking in, parking, getting there and checking out was easy. Alan was a great host who was happy to say hello and recommend a few places nearby. We'd love to stay again. Oh, and the milk in the fridge on arrival was a lovely touch!
The only slight point of improvement would be the mattress as it was rather soft. But I know a lot of people like that, it is just not our preference.

We had an amazing stay at Windmill Blackthorn Hill. The hosts, Alan and Cristina, were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the unique property. The windmill was split over three levels with a comfortable bed on the first floor, a well-equipped kitchen on the second, and an incredible observation lounge on the third with a 360-degree view. Despite the stormy weather during our visit, we were able to safely watch the storm from the cozy lounge. Milk, condiments, and spices were provided, and there were plenty of board games for entertainment. We can't wait to return for another memorable weekend.

Christmas at this hotel was lovely. The staff went all out with festive decorations, making it feel really cozy and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for the holiday season. the location was great. It was close to the town center, so we could easily explore and enjoy the Christmas markets. Another thing we liked was the delicious meals. The hotel served a fantastic Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, and the food was top-notch.
There were a few issues that detracted from our stay. the lack of toiletries was a disappointment.
